all 8 can be seen here, munching away on sweetgum. all are currently in 1st instar growth stage; after their first molt, they will move on to 2nd instar.

the caterpillars today, getting a little bigger. not all can be seen here. sadly, the tiny guy in the middle of the photo became the first casualty; he was much smaller than the others, dried up, and completely unresponsive. now there are 7, and they all appear to be healthy eaters at this point.
